Hey Guys,

I'm normally active in the Corolla forum (I own a Sportivo) but seeing as we share the 2ZZ, I thought I'd help you guys out.

I've just ordered an Injen CAI for my S'tivo from Houston Texas for an awesome price (US$100) & I noticed they have a special on the Celica variant for US$90. :D

Here's the link:

BTW I can vouch for these guys. Service is great & postage thru UPS was approx US$65.

short ram - better respond, lesser power compared to CAI

CAI - Better power, lesser respond compared to short ram

Short ram requires heat shield if u want it to perform great all day everyday

CAI, u may hold u breath during heavy rain.

Pro and Cons all the way.

Are you referring to water ingestion with CAI?

Is an air bypass valve necessary?

So far I have no problem with CAI even during heavy rain, but of course being sensible and logical towards conditions and situations is a must. Besides, your pod has to be dipped into water for it causes some major fatility (Hydrolock).

Its good if u can have the bypass valve.

The HKS air filters are rubbish, they don't filter very well at all.

The best air filter would be the A'PEXi Power Intake, just put that at the end of your intake pipe and have a cold air duct running from the front air dam to below the air filter. IMHO would give you similar performance as a long-RAM CAI.
