Hi Guys,

I have a Toyota Corolla 05 Sportivo currently stock atm and I was wondering what is available out there to upgrade the performance and handling?

I have approached a few performance workshops about getting some work done to it but never get call backs about what they can offer of prices.

I appreciate all help offered as I am sick of being beaten at the lights by modified cars.

hi mate

dont mean to be rude but try searching it , it has been covered plenty of times.

ur best bet would be by starting with - Intake ( CES , SIMOTA , TRD , INJEN )

- Exhaust( any type really just to help the engine breath

- Aftermarket ECU ( power FC )

- Coilovers

- Braces/sway bars eg : HD rear swaybar , front strut brace

- Heavy duty clutch ( Exced )

- engine mount inserts

- Extended push rod

i could go on forever there is plently it just depends how deap ur pocket is and how serious u are about ur car.

Unfortunately you won't hear much back for two reasons. The car isn't a commonly modified car and requires some knowledge of what works and what doesn't work, instead of just ordering from a catalogue to make a 'custom' car like an EVO/WRX/Skyline. Secondly a workshop will judge you over the phone and assume that someone modifying a Corolla is a kid and a time waster, unfortunate, but true. Usually best to turn up and talk in person; as they say, money talks, bull**** walks.

In summary;

CAI - Injen or CES

Exhaust - 2.5" mandrel bent system from the cat.

Engine internals - Look at the monkeywrenchracing website. But probably not what your after at the moment.

Suspension - Order from someone like Greenline or Nengun and follow a guide in the guide section, or take them to a workshop to be fitted. There is a sticky in the suspension section listing part numbers.

Brakes - Just change the front pads to something that suits what you want to do with the car. 0-500*C for mountains, 0-800*C for track work.

No need for the extended push rod, engine mounts, heavy duty clutch (only really need for forced induction).

Some light weight 16 inch rims with good hi performance tyres will also help you accelerate faster when the lights go green.
