Toyota Camry / Aurion GPS Unit

Steven

Recommended Posts

PMs will be sent out this morning to all buyers and those who have expressed interest. To those who want a reversing camera, please specify from the image below whether you want camera A, B or C.

Camera A is designed to be flushed mounted in your bumper or other flat vertical surface and comes with spacers to "tilt" the lense up or down if you choose to use them.

Cameras B and C are designed to be installed over your number plate, and are entirely personal preference as to which you want. These are not Aurion specific cameras but rather a Toyota universal design.

Thanks Steven, my Aurion is the ZR6, so it has a reverse cam location already picked out by toyota, above the number plate.

See my post at the bottom of this page http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/index.php/topic/25362-aurion-navigation-head-unit-discussion/page__st__690

Would option B be the most suitable I wonder?

3 payments received so far, 1 on its way.

Spokai / Lulchul please contact me immediately via PM re: confirming payment will be made on time. If there are any delays I need to know as soon as possible.

Seeing as its the 25th how many payments have we got? So over my current unit.

6 have been sold in this current group buy. If you're desperate for one I can organise one at the discounted rate for today ONLY if you choose to pay via paypal, but you need to be quick smart in PMing your interest.

As stated, payment is being made today (with group buys you can't buy units individually, I needed to wait until I had 5 people paid).

Assuming it clears straight away (seller is with same bank as me) then expect them to be posted tomorrow

Oh sweet cheers mate, your previous post about quicker handling with paypal etc had me worried I'd need to wait a little longer (1-2 days longer wont bother me).

Keen as :)

Okay I've just been to see the seller and confirm the order/payments etc. Everything is set and I'm happy with the checks done on the units so they will be posted out first thing on Friday morning (as tomorrow is Australia Day)

I think yours got sent out later in the afternoon, I passed on the info the moment I got it and that's what I was told.

Done some research and bugging other forum members on how to install all this wizbang gagetry.

Posting these links for others in my situation (never done this) and for myself to come back to this when the unit arrives.

How to remove/install new head unit (I will also run a USB extension cable from back of new unit up into center console).

Reverse camera install, those with a ZR6 Aurion will have a removable plate for the cam to go through.

Mine arrived a few hours ago :)

The screen size is massive. I think I might try and install it tonight after work and leave the camera for the weekend.

Quick question in relation to this Head unit... With my car already having the reverse camera in it, and from what i've read, needing a voltage transformer to take the power from the unit from 12v to 6v... With this unit coming with options, is it possible to get it set up to plug and play into the existing camera? I was going to go with an Eonon unit before reading up on this, i do like the OEM look when it comes to this unit, and the larger screen also :D

Also, do we have to wait for another GB to get our hands on this? or can i go and see George in Brisbane and pick one up?

I'm not planning on doing any further group buys, so your best bet is to speak to George.

99.9% of aftermarket cameras use 12v, so I doubt many units would plug and play with this factory camera. However once again I'm not 100% on how the OEM camera is wired in so I could be well off the mark here.
