Hey guys, new to the forum here.. i am in the process of getting a rukus me thinks!, i like the modern appeal it has and i do think the boxy look is quite pleasing to me, ill be going for a test drive on saturday and if i can get a good deal on a new build 3 2012 model which should be available in march ill be getting one.. i just have a couple questions you guys might be able to help me out with..

ill be planning on buying a nice set of rims for this but im just curious as to what will void the toyota warranty? also planning on going dark tints and dropping it a touch.. but i wouldn't want to risk voiding the warranty at the same time.. and what size rims can you put on these baby's comfortably? And also if i wanted to buy eyelids and some minor exterior mods wheres the best place to look? thanks guys.

Cant tell you about voiding warranty probably best asking your dealership in regards to any modifications you plan to do. If they say it's ok get it in writing... When I brought my Rukus I got the dealership to put in writing what will be effected if I make certain mods... Secondly I have seen as big as 22s on a rukus over in the states and the owner was adamant it rode like stock... I myself have 19s on mine with airbags and I think they have enough sidewall to allow a comfortable ride and they fill the guards nice.. With eyelids I got mine directly from forjworks.com i got the mafia full set series get them pre painted so you can just stick on once they are out of the box otherwise there is a set from NIA just google scion xb eyelids and you will find them... As for other parts you can check a few website out but I have found it best to jump on www.newscionxb.com and register there someone over in the states will be bound to help you out and they are a great bunch of people. Also you can look at www.scionpro.com and steve the owner will look after you he has the best customer service in the auto industry hands down... another site is www.fastscions.com but they refuse to deliver to Australia you must have a US postal address....

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info Chris,!

Good news guys! I just got back from toyota and ordered my rukus :D.. a 2012 model build 3 in the glacier white ( which comes up as superwhite in the contract ) Also got the blue interior illumination, the locknuts, and the car mats!

so excited!.. wont be getting it till early march i think as they are still being made in japan,..

couple things im planning on doing are new set of wheels, 19s or 20's.. also be dropping it @ a comfortable level ,

eyelids ( ill be ordering the same lids as cductn )

ill be debadging the rukus symbol, HID kit for the headlamps,

was going to go full dark tint but the tint it comes with is the darkest street legal so im happy with that, just need to get them to do the front windows too..

ill be spraying the calipers as well, not sure what color yet depends on the rims..!

thats it for now, if any of you guys have some info as to where to get the hid kit i need for the rukus and how to debage the symbol without making any scuff marks that would be awesome..

will post up pics when the time comes!

well first of all i can imagine how you are feeling very excited in owning one of these amazing

Cars. as i was and still am the proud owner of a Toyota rukus Halo 2011 model

went for test drive after i had returned i couldn't wait to have in my name :)

also i have had a lot of modifications done in the past year and still going :)

not sure about the void of warranty if you change the Rims maybe enquirer first

you should always ask the Toyota Salesman all your unanswered Questions than you will

see what you are up against. also as i am having 16' Rims put on i was told

by the Tyre specialists that if you go any higher you will feel every bump in the Road

also is quite expensive so i would suggest you keep the 16' wheels even though

much Bigger wheels would look much nicer i think. and if you would like to know

my opinion forget about the eyelashes they would just take all the classy look away

and make it look cheap i am sure you don't want that, even though i have been told

to put them on my car i can sure say spend your money on other things like

running led lights for the head lights looks so amazing especially on the Rukus

as i am always having people look at amazement. you do what you think is Best

it's your Car and you are the one who has to drive it.

happy driving your Rukus :)
