Help - Camry/Vienta 97-02 CD/tape Player SEC MOD (TYPE C)

Hi TOC,

good to be back again!

i quickly need your help, i recently bought 2000 Vienta Grande which came with Type C cd tape player.

just today i was at my mate's place and i had to disconnet my car battery to swap battery's with his dead battery.

now my CD player turns on and it says "SEC" which my understanding is becouse battery was disconnected i have to code in my cd player.

my problem is, i have the owners manual, but no where in manual says what is factory defult code is. coz i never changed and im not sure if the pervous owners coded or not.

anyone could help me out please! really apperciated! got no streo in my car and its painfull to drive around :(

Problem sorted!

for those of you having same problem here is the info:

1) Hold tune ^

2) while holding tune ^ press 1, it will ask you for 3 digit code

3) use no.1 for first digit, 2 for second digt and 3 for third digit. for example, if you have to put "888"

you have to press 1 eight time and 2 eghit times and 3 eight times

and 4) Defult security code is last 3 digit of car's vin number.

5) hold scan, then raido will start.
