Aurion 'Pull Left' Issue Explained

Hi all, just bought a 2007 Aurion SX6 Sportivo. Car runs great and have no complaints other than it pulls left. I have read all the comments here and just want to check to see if there are any up dates as far as fixing the problem. Thanks in advance.....

My personal opinion is that it just follows the camber of the road. Drive on the other side of the road and it will pull right. This car's "pulling issue" feels weird at first but give it 6 months and you'll won't really notice it. Sometimes worn tyres make it feel worse.

Thanks mate you could be right. I have had the car less than a week so I am just getting use to a whole different feel. I had a BMW 5 series before this so I am not sure if I am just so use to how that car sat on the road as apposed to this one. I will give it some more time and if I'm still having an issue with the pulling left I am get the bushes fitted that have been mentioned. Other than that I am very happy with the car.

Hey mate, sorry but I have to disagree. It has been proven that there is a problem with the Aurion, Toyota in some cases will actually fix it for you, the only down side is you have to get them to do a wheel alignment fist which will set you back about $66, but if this doesn't fix it they will supply and fit a Ki t to correct the issue.

I wasn't sure that Toyota would touch it as far as a fix goes, but after what you have said I will have to look into it. I took it to get a wheel alignment on all four wheels the other day but it made no noticble difference. I don't mind paying the money to get it fixed as long as I know what needs fixing. I was hoping someone on here had had it done on a 2007 sx6 and could tell me the part number. Anyway, when I get it done I will let everyone know what the fix was.

Toyota themselves told me that, I have just been to busy to take it in.

The trick is to take no bs, if they start telling you it's normal don't have a bar of it, they will fix it.

I had a pull to the left on my old Volvo, but shuffling the tyres around sometimes would fix it. NZ roads have a lot of camber in some areas, so pull would vary. I thought it was the power steering rack at first, surprised it was that simple to fix.

So may be worth a try to swop front and rear tyres over before spending money ....

I had the types swapped around but still no change unfortunately.

Tyres play a small factor, especially if all 4 are wearing evenly. Directional tyres, however, are known to be a culprit for pulling to one side. The trick is to fiddle with the caster, then camber. Toe plays a very small factor in pull. Go to a well known suspension shop and ask them to perform a proper wheel alignment, adjusting camber, caster and toe. Do not come to believe that the adjustments are limited to none. It can be a bitch to do, but there is some adjustment and those adjustments go a long way. I spent $100 on a wheel alignment at centreline suspenion in north metro melbourne which has lasted me 20000km/2 years without any pull,with even tyre wear and is still tracking straight. Don't bother with those $250/300 caster bush kits.

Thanks for that info mate. I will have to check and see if there is someone who can do this in the Perth area. It's not the biggest problem but it is a distraction as I don't want to have to wrestle with the wheel.
