Looking after my aurion

Recommended Posts

Hi I am pretty new tot the website. I purchased a second hard Aurion from a Dealership and now slowly getting more and more interested in doing something with my car.

Things i am looking at doing:

1. Getting a new nav unit - I am useless at Ebay and pretty untrusting

2. New mags

3. Adding a few performance items - dont really now where to start3

4. Adding reversering sensors

5. LED lights in the boot

6. random things to make the car look better

I have been looking on the site a lot and reading all the forums. The key concern I have is that I don't want to stuff anything up. I was wondering if anyone would have time to show him in Melbourne what they have done with their car to see how they have done it and then have a go myself. I am pretty hands out.

i was wondering if anyone in Melbourne would be interested in showing a newbie how they have made their Aurion awesome!

Cheers

Sean

What about detailing, particularly cleaning, waxing, polishing the outside?

Does anyone get this done? If so, how often?

I have heard good things about this guy http://reflection-perfection.com.au/ and plan on using his services.

Yes, I always read these forums and I have used http://reflection-perfection.com.au to detail my TRD. He is in Melbourne and is a fantastic operator. And also a great bloke to boot. I bought my car to him with heaps of fine scratches and swirls due to me being lazy and going through car washes. He does one car per day and does it properley. He is a pro detailer. Brought my last car elsewhere and they just put more swirls in. He treated my car like it was his own. I plan on going back to him every couple of years and is reasonably priced for the amount of work.

For the detailing bit, i got BG Pete from NSW to do it, to learn from his work, and knowing the products and materials he used first hand is an excellent stepping stone to detailing.

There are a lot of guides and recommendations on the forum on which products to use,

I am thinking of doing the detailing myself and buying the same products that he has used on my car.

I was thinking of using the same stuff my detailer used to but there is no way in the world I am confident of using the polishing machine he was using, I think there is a particular art to handling one of those things
