2000 Toyota Corolla Seca 1.8 Auto rev's dropping problem...?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I think i have a problem with my 2000 toyota corolla seca and the car never gave me any trouble before but when i go 80km/h the car sits at 2000rpm with overdrive on, when I realese the throttle, the car decreases its speed like it should and with that the rev's are dropping like it should, but then 1800rpm, it suddenly drops to 1100rpm roughly and then comes back up to 1600rpm, i think its got a problem with a reving sensor, its definetly electronics i think, its not the clutch, the car runs fine, although its using up a little more fuel than normal, apart from that, thats all where the problem is, when i accel, its smooth, its fine, its only happening when I let go of the throttle. I need some advice guys, what could it be and how do i find out, and how i do i fix it cos i cant afford a mechanic. Cheers Sam.
