i need a little info on grease points on my hilux.

where and when they should be done, i do my own servicing

Hi J-Lux,like every thing else these days if you cant see a grease nipple you dont grease it.They fall into the catagory of (sealed for life).If your uni joints have been replaced with aftermarket items they might have a grease nipple.But even wheel bearings are heading that way now,they come as a sealed hub,off with the old & on with the new,no greasing ,no adjustment,splitpins. I guess thats what they class as a throw away society!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do know on my drive shaft coupling, and my rear suspension leafs/mounts have grease nipples (05 Hilux 4x4)

In all likelyhood they can probably go 100k without attention however giving them a touchup every service is only going to help the components last longer.

can you show me a pic of the nipples on the drive shaft and mounts please mate

& cheers conrod, i ask the question because i couldnt find the grease nipples :/

i heard even the steering hubs dont need attention ?

Slip joints on drive shafts are a must any others you find every couple of months , if youve been in water or dust more often, like just after
