Hey guys,

There are a few things on my SV21 that need attention, but the first one I notice each and everyday is my shifter.

Its an automatic, so it has the T shaped shifter. It has become loose so i can move it say 2-3cm to the left or right.

I'm also able to manouvre it between R - N - D - 2 without holding the button. It's not a huge issue but it's an issue nevertheless.

What i'm asking is, is there a way I can tighten it from inside the car or will I need to jack it up and start replacing parts?

I'm yet to get quotes from auto service centres, but I first wanted to check if this was something a novice was able to do.

Thanks guys :)

This is a common problem on corollas and camrys of this era. You will need the replace the plastic bushes in the shifter itself.
