I wonder if they really do 6.9 with DSG as VW have claimed.

But i reckon they will kill a stock sportivo.

I haven't driven either car, but anectodal evidence would suggest that the GTI would have the upper hand via its torque output.

i'd say you were right, 1.8L N/A vs 2L turbo, if the stivo wins then either the GTI driver was crap or VW did something wrong

Yeah it does.

Boss is looking to buy one, trying to convince him to get the sportivo instead, cheaper, cheaper insurance, etc.

Torque will kill the tivos I think, unless something is done in whoevers car to reduce weight and drivetrain losses considerably.
