Anyone had this Issue
Hi All, Got a weird one here over the ditch, I have a 2004 Vitz/Echo/Yaris with the 2SZ-FE engine, Ran great for years for commuting to work but now has developed an annoying issue, When driving along the car will give a sudden *****, The High temp light comes on and the engine check light comes on when it does it and it only happens for a split second then goes out and the car runs fine until it does it again, It will sit and idle fine for ages with no issues, I changed the plugs, plug holders and coils, Changed the crank angle sensor, Cam sensor, Water temp sensor, VVT sensor, Have taken every plug i can see off and cleaned them with contact cleaner and yet the fault is still there, At present i have disconnected the battery to try and clear the ECU, Kind of running out of ideas here, Anyone else got any cunning plans out there??? Thanks -

Landcruiser 200 suspension upgrade opinions with GVM Upgrade, OME BP51?
I went with the Lovell GVM upgrade via TJM Geelong. They did a great job. My rig has the usual goodies, bullbar, winch, drawer system under body armour etc. It gives about a 50mm lift on the back. With my rig fully loaded and the caravan on (200KG ball weight) remarkably I end up with the same trim position, i.e. wheel arch height as the day I picked the car up from the dealer. I have never had even the tiniest issue with the set up. -

Leather steering wheel cover on VX LC 200 series falling apart
Had the same problem on mine, when the vehicle was just out of warranty. My local Toyota dealer however refused to even talk to me about it. Ended up with a replacement via EC Offroad. Ended up with a better wheel than standard. -

New to Toyota - 2005 Corolla Sportivo!
Cheers ZZT86! No idea how much longer I'll keep it, probably the rest of my life at this rate but I've never had doubts that it wouldn't travel this far if I'm honest compared to my old Honda that's for sure. -

MY21 Hilux interior lights not working
Hey sarge, I also got a mine spec Hilux 2017 in Queensland. exact same issue happening for me but it’s just the gear selector and PWR/ECO mode lights. Any update of this?! Did you manage to fix it? was it a fuse or bulbs? Thanks mate! -

New to Toyota - 2005 Corolla Sportivo!
Congratulations mate ! The 2ZZ engines are a pretty awesome engine tbh, apart from a few early "lift" bolts snapping in half & the potential for the dreaded VVTi controller letting go, I reckon they're virtually bomb proof. Personally I had a ZZT231R Celica ZR for 13.5 wonderful years, changed the oil religiously every 5K kms & the engine just kept on singing. I too reached that magical km figure towards the end of my ownership just before I got my new Hachi. I don't think the FA20 is anywhere near as robust & doubt it will last like the Celica did. I'll never forget the feeling of hitting 6K rpm when the engine just woke up & kept on revving sweetly to 8.5K rpm - very Honda VTEC. Look after it & it will look after you 😉- 1

LC 300 Engine Maintenance Required
Hi same issue with my LC300 (engine maintenance required, visit your dealer). Carbon build up on injector they say. “Known issue they say”. “No permanent fix they say”, other than to keep taking it back to dealer to have injectors cleaned. Happened twice now- November and again last week. I am still 4500km from next scheduled service. -

New to Toyota - 2005 Corolla Sportivo!
Quite an acheivment unlocked for the old beast last week. I've finally reached 300000 kms. After a mixture of not driving the Sportivo during my paternity leave, driving an in laws car on hot days, the Tivolution has finally cracked the magic 300000. It's crazy to think that I've owned the car for almost 10 years and have pretty much put on more than half the distance on this car just during my ownership alone. It was definitely a little milestone to pull over and take a few cluster pictures of. Who knows, I may end up doing a post if it gets to 400000 kms 😅 Prior to hitting the 300k milestone, I reached out on a day working from home to the local auto electrician who re-gassed my air con last year and was able to book it in to get the condenser replaced. I got the car back yesterday with a brand new condenser and a few compliments of how nice the car is for it's age and I now have nice, freezing cold air con once again. My fingers are crossed that it was only a leak from the condenser and it's not a dash out job! My drive to work this morning was great since it was a humid start to the day and the air con was that cold I actually had to raise the temperature. Compared to the last time it was re-gassed, it definitely feels a lot cooler than before. Managed to also get a quick snap of another Sportivo, albeit a AE112 that was in for some electrical work. Next up on the cards is the major service and hopefully an overall inspection of anything that needs attention. Stay tuned.- 1

RAV4 2017 Apple Carplay Upgrade Recomendation
Apologies for the late reply, this is absolutely awesome! I ordered in December and received it just a few days later. At first, I was a bit unsure since there was no physical manual, but after reaching out, I found out they use a digital manual instead. The installation was smooth and surprisingly easy to do! -

2016 Aurion Sportivo missing electric blind button
Yep, I have the exact same car. It's standard from factory as attached, odd it's missing though, unless it's faulty. Have you checked if it's hiding behind the front fascia panel ? It's quite a bulky switch if memory serves me correctly. You would also wanna check the wiring loom is still there first & just get a replacement switch from either a wrecker (cheaper) or a dealer (expensive) & see if it still works. The other spot is just missing a blank. I have attached an extract "How To" from the repair manual on removing a few bits to access that area. RearSunshade - Global Service Information Center.pdf
