Camry Hybrid. 4.2L/100km to 7.6L/100km
Hi Tony - you’d need to drive it really hard to get 7.6 per 100km - that’s about what the ICE motor gets - 4.2-4.8 is about right - it takes time to learn how to drive a hybrid- but 7.6 is ridiculously high - and almost impossible -

Weird Range indication on 2025 sport model
Hi - This is my second Camry sport - My first was the 2022 model which I traded in February 2025 for a new model - my Range indicator is showing 735 km when full - is this what other drivers are seeing? My total average resets to 30 litres per 100 km - randomly my fuel gauge shows 8 full bars but the range indicator shows 578 km Half a fuel tank shows 278 km?? in my previous car - I would fill up - range indicator would read 1030 then just move down sequentially- not this model - is there any other owner of the same model who is experiencing this ?? Many thanks Paul -

B pillar Water Ingress
Gday All. My Aurion was getting that damp towel smell and I couldn't figure out why for weeks. Weve had some pretty decent rainfall and ive noticed water stains around the seatbelt pillars both sides. Door seals appear ok, nothing obvious. No sunroof either. Someone suggested the roof drip molding? Any suggestions and or places to purchase replacement items would be great. WA based. -

Whine on startup..
Hey mate, sorry for missing this. I got a general service and it seemed to go away. Mech did mention that there may be the start of some issue with radiator fluid as the overflow bottle was pretty low. -

Timing Belt light
I have to agree with Herb on this one. A timing belt should always be done as a preventative maintenance item every 100K or 6-7 years. I would even advocate to do it a bit earlier, AND, only use Genuine Parts or OEM spec for these. Don't cheap out on a timing belt as it can bite you in the bum. If you plan to sell the car, either do it now so it makes a good selling point or let the buyer know that it needs doing. -

Timing Belt light
I presume that the timing belt light means that it is time to replace the belt. They have a limited life, like about 100k, or so. Herb -

Gearbox issue
Vehicle Details: I own a 2011 (MY12) turbo diesel 4x4. Issue Description: When shifting into second gear, the transmission produces a grinding or crunching sound. Additionally, downshifting into first gear is only possible when the vehicle is completely stationary. Repairs Attempted: To address the issue, I have replaced the gearbox, installed two new clutches over time, and replaced both the master and slave cylinders. Despite these repairs, the issue persists. I'm seeking advice on potential causes or further steps that could resolve the problem.
