Hi all

First post here. We recently bought a 2008 KX-R and really love the car. Something that is starting to annoy me a bit is the poor radio reception. It would frequently switch from stereo sound to mono sound every few seconds, and from what I know, this is usually down to the poor reception. Does anybody have any information that could assist me in this? Is it poor reception or could it be a bad connection with the antenna?

Any thoughts appreciated.

Hi mate, I think most of the problem could be due to the radio antenna be in the rear quarter panel window, there never as good as external aerial, thats my oppinion, if you live local to the radio station there not to bad, but if you live a little distance from the transmitter they have poor reception, , my radio reception isnt to bad on fm, but the am reception isnt that great, it has a bit of static every so often when going around a corner and thats in a major city right where the station broadcasted, the rear glass antennas might look good but offer lousy receiption.
