Engine Oil leak
It is most likely either the oil cooler line or the VVTi oil pressure line. Only the engine oil cooler line is covered by Toyota's extended warranty. -

Sad day
Have a read of the following thread which includes my post back in March 2022. Toyota Australia provides an extended warranty for this issue when this oil cooler line leaks. Phone Toyota Australia Customer Service 1800 869 682 who will ask for the VIN and maybe also the vehicle registration. They will give you a warranty claim number and details of the local dealership. Next step will be to contact that dealership for a repair booking and quote the warranty claim number. Your Aurion is not driveable and towing will be arranged by the dealership. Your outlay will be $0.00 -

2022/23 Grande Cargo Barrier
We have recently purchased a 2022 built 2023 model Grande and want to out a cargo barrier in. Toyota say that it can not be sold as the barrier only fit the gxl due to the panoramic sunroof (not truly panoramic as only half retracts). Anyhow, is it possible to put install the cargo barrier or is there an after market option available? -

Sad day
Hi all just signed up, I have a Toyota 2011 Orion, yep the dreaded oil cooler lines, a hose blew, I had pulled up to a 99degree turn all was well , then 30 mtr up the road sounded like a truck was next to me then noticed it was my car rattling it’s ***** off, being not even 10mtr from my drive way I idled it into the drive way and oil was everywhere, i placed oil in the car as it read empty on the oil stick , had my partner start the car and wow it was pumping strait out of the hose it had a hole in it ,I turned it off strait away, and researched it, so disappointed I have owned Toyotas all my life and owned this pride and joy for allmost 3years iam second owner with around 212000 on the clock, I am replacing it with the upgraded lines but am know afraid it’s done some serious damage, as idle sounds fine but not game to give it a rev till it’s all fixed, I don’t understand, it states if leaking to return to Toyota, I had no leaks the hose blew a hole, the recall also says extended warranty and has no date or km, for the oil hoses , Am I say up **** creek with out a paddle ?? I will check log books to see when last serviced from Toyota and when recall was made. ?????? -

Hi, I’m looking to replace a missing part from by heater box. It’s the pressed metal bracket that connects the lower vent flap to the manual handle. I have attached a photo of mine with the part missing and a photo of a LHD one showing the part that I’m looking for. Thanks! -

REMOTE KEY FOB FOR AURION 2009
Hi, thanks for your reply. I'll also try taking the key off the ring. After all, I've tried everything else from using extreme profanities, kicking and crying. What do I have left to lose? Ha ha 🤬🤣 -

REMOTE KEY FOB FOR AURION 2009
Hi Helen1234 I went the cheap option also from Ebay for my 2010 Hilux. It took multiple attempts to get mine to work but after the 4th or 5th time it did exactly what was supposed to happen. The instructions need to be followed perfectly and if you dont the fob will not learn the system. I was personally having the issue where the car thought I took the key out of the ignition because the key barrel is worn. I had to take my key off my key ring because the weight from my house key, canopy key and bottle opener where weighing down on the key when it was in the key barrel. Good luck, hope you get it to work -

Backlash clunk when slightly on and off accelerator
Hi all, I'm new to the forum and hoping the brains trust here may be able to help, maybe even seen the issue before. I have a 2010 Hilux KUN26 193k on the clock. I have been searching for a possible cause of a clunk which has developed which sounds and feels like backlash. It seems to be coming from towards the front of the vehicle. While the vehicle is idling along in lets say first gear and if I was to ever so slightly touch the accelerator pedal I get a clunk sound like something is engaging and then let my foot off again it happens again but like its disengaging it can felt through the car. I have had it up on a hoist and checked all the engine and gearbox mounts which all seem fine. The tailshaft and uni joints all seem fine also. The clunk happens in all gears but once cruising in any gear you wouldnt think there was an issue. Originally I was leaning towards a clutch issue but only because I was noticing it while changing gears but with further investigation I have noticed it happens without touching the the clutch pedal and just on and off accelerator. I have a throttle controller on the vehicle and thought this may be the issue so I unplugged it and nothing changed. Im hoping someone has seen this before and can point me in the right direction.
