Speakers causing vibration in door panel

Hi all,

just wondering if any one else out there has had their front door trim rattle when they've changed to an aftermarket deck / speakers....

100% positive it's the door trim - but it appears to be seated correctly (took it off and reseated it to be sure)... when I turn the volume up (and bass - no subs yet though) the passenger door trim vibrates......doesn't happen on the drivers door.

If I pull the 'storage compartment' towards me a little it doesn't vibrate...

any suggestions for sound deadening that section (If I have to buy the sound matting stuff I'll do the whole car rather than just one door) - or do I just put a small piece of wood / plastic in the storage compartment to widen the gap?

Cheers for any advice as the rattle is driving me mad.

Yeah, the front passenger vibrates. So is the driver seat, but you don't hear it if you sit at the driver seat for some reason. The vibrates came from the plastic cover on the door, meatier bass causes that to vibrates. Sound deadeing kit can solves that, howeve, the danger is, if its the door panel that vibrates, looks like more to the window button assembly, it will causes more vibration since now your mid bass will be even more stronger with the sound deadeing kit.

I'm not too sure about sound deadining kits or how they work. But I'm also having that problem. I'm just going to buy 4ch amp to amp my speakers so i can turn the bass from the speakers down and let the subbies do the work.

I guess in your case you'd have to buy couple of amps, subs to solve the problem but it might just be similar costs to sound deadining as that stuff can be expensive.

I'm having the same vibration problem!

I only have a stock stereo and I'm getting the problem.

Main vibration is coming from the power window switch on the drivers door.

When I put downward pressure on it most of the vibration stops.

Also, the parts of the door trims closest to the speakers also vibrate a little on both front doors. I'll have to see what I can do to remedy this when I take the trims off to change speakers.
