Bluetooth with Aurion 2012

Hi all, I have had massive problems with bluetooth and my 2012 Aurion (Touchscreen model).

with the samsung Galaxy Ace, It is worse than useless. The same phone doesn't work in my wifes 2010 Yaris sedan (updated model) as well.

What I am considering is a new samsung S4 and wonder if anyone out there is using it successfully.

If there are issues the other phone I am considering is an HTC One.

Any one have any useful information or using either of these phones with either of these cars?

Hey mate I have Samsung S3 and it works well with my car's bluetooth audio. I requested to have the audio software updated to include new phones like mine on its service.

i got a s3 and its all good...make sure u set yr phone as discoverable...so the car audio unit can pick up bluetooth for yr phone....

No mate mine's one of the last few Touring facelifted models built before 2012 Aurions came out. On my silver Aurion prior to its write off, the audio system wouldn't work with Galaxy S1. My current black ride worked with S3 after I requested firmware update as i read it in the forum somewhere earlier this year.

With the new aurions that have touchscreen model, maybe the firmware is probably buggy so ask around if there was a newer version that came out maybe after the first new Aurions got sold?

Ended up getting the new HTC one and it works with the wife's Yaris at long last.....

Also seems ok with my Aurion but I need to do further testing. Seems like a great phone.

      BTW forgot to mention that there is no shake in the steering wheel. The 'shudder', really hard to describe but almost like brakes on and off. Cannot identify front or rear or both. Got me totally miffed.

      Hi everyone, new to this forum - refugee from LCOOL. Had a minor shudder when applying the brakes. Also was somewhat intermittent. Having over 100k on the clock a lot which were done towing a big van, I thought I may have warped a disk. Checked them with a dial gauge but no useful info. Bit the bullet and replaced all 4 with new slotted rotors and pads from DBA. Huge difference in braking. However the shudder has return almost with a vengeance. Thought I fixed the problem when I disconnected the ECU for another unrelated issue. ECU is remapped, car went in limp mode and could not clear it with the scangauge. Problem not fixed and I am lost as to why this is happening. Plan on visiting Berima Diesel later on this year to have the injectors checked and I'll get them to look at the brakes if I still haven't figured it out. Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thank you

      200 series won’t shift past 4th gear

      Hi everyone, new to this forum - refugee from LCOOL. Having read some of the replies, to the best of my knowledge there is no such thing as a minor remap. Toyota in their wisdom have the software in the ECU such that it cannot be downloaded, modified and reloaded. It has to be a complete reload, either stock or modified. All you fellows disconnecting the battery is a good and simple way to try and reset everything but similar results can be achieved by simply disconnecting the ECU. That's the big plug in the firewall passenger side. Meanwhile I may need to start a new topic for the following issues I am experiencing: Had a minor shudder when applying the brakes.       G’day from NSW

      G’day All just got a 2012 (old shape) Corolla Ascent Hatchback Auto. Needs a few things done, it was my Dads who just passed away. Going to install pioneer head unit (basic one really) as a start, then maybe upgrade speakers but I’ll see how the oem ones go, I’ve read I’ll need at least 50w ones for the pioneer. Front inner plastic guards are a bit trashed along with bumper bar, just need to neaten it up a little. cheers Sparky

      Head Unit Replacement for 2010 Toyota Corolla Hatch

      G’day TGA, hope you got this sorted, just about any 2 din would fit. I’m putting a pioneer one in but I’d like to know how to pull the trims apart to fit it 🤨 Every video shows the sedan with a different gearshift with short trims to remove but those 2 lower side ones are 1 piece on the hatch and I’m struggling. Do I need to remove console box to start removing those side piece. Any help cheers Sparky
