My Aurion is nearly 180 000km and I think of changing the auto transmisssion fluid myself

1. I saw this video from Youtube and hope that the procedure for Aurion will be the same, but while looking at my car, I could not find the drain plug, there is only overflow plug I suppose.

Also I still not found the refill plug yet.

2. I also wonder that the above method seems only able to change a part of fluid, I saw another video, which show how make full fluid change (for a most car which have dipstick), and I wonder if the Aurion have any where to plug a pipe to drain auto transmission out as it show in this video

Could Aurion owners help in this matter of how to DIY auto transmission fluid replacement

Thanks

i heard that its not good to "completely drain" the auto fluid? also there is always a drain plug but i know for my mrs pulsar u can only fill it thru the hole where the dipstick goes inside, which is FKING small -_-

I did the same thing as the second video on my 2003 V6 Altise.

I did it around 160K the fluid was quite Brown and smelt bad! first I drained and removed the Pan put in a new strainer it was Clean!

Filled with exact amount of Fluid that came out.

Then removed trans cooler line bottom of radiator, put on some 12mm clear hose and put that in a white bucket.

Found a desent funnel for the Dip stick filler got me 10 litres of appropriate fluid that was left over for that Transmission and started the car! the fluid pumped out like a tap at 1/4 turn and was easy to keep the flow by filling at the same time.

around 8 litres went through before the fluid was clear and clean.

Also done a total of 290K before selling and no Tranmission problems.

However I haven't done it on the Aurion yet! as I haven't even changed the engine Oil let alone been underneath for a look, But i guess will soon.

Cheers

i have a Aurion gearbox sitting in my garage... i was told by my mechanic but dont hold me to this:

To Drain:

remove drain plug (some fluid will come out)

inside drain plug should be a plastic filler tube, remove filler tube and ALL fluid will drain out

reinstall filler tube

To Fill:

keep drain plug off

undo filler bolt

fill until fluid overflows out of Filler tube

reinstall drain plug

run until operating temperature is reached

fill again until overfills out filler tube again
