Camry XV50 vs 2008 Civic Design

Hi all!

Just wondering how you guys like the design of the current Camry.

If you have some spare time, just leave your opinion x]

I was wondering whether to upgrade but I noticed that the front of the new Camry looks quite similar to 2008 Civic and sort of gave up! I know the cars are totally different...but a bit disappointed because the 6th Gen Camry looks, for me, beautiful!

Also, the colour range is not as nice as it is compared to the 6th Gen Camry...

The new Aurion design though, looks astonishing!

So what do you think?

I would get a camry over a civic any day. But if I had a choice with the Nee Aurion I'd definitely get that without the body kit.

Always loved the blue on Gen 7 camry, reminds me of the lexus ISF blue :)

Don't understand why you pay $40-$50k for top of the range camry only to find out there's no HIDs or washers. You would expect them to be included since you're paying that much.

IMO, first gen Aurion trumps all the newer designs. Not a huge fan of the back end of the new Camry - looks like it's cross bred with a liberty nor the new Aurion (which looks like it was reversed into a wall).

The front end of the Atara models is quiet nice but overall I still think I like the Gen7 better.

Civic - never been a fan. The new one is gross as well.

I'd take the current Accord Euro (even with its 5 year old design) over all of them but.

Toyota forgot to fit them mate, that's all.

These days i would expect any car costing more than 20K to have Hids.Halogen is 80s technology.

There's an Aurion Body kit going for sale soon from Japan - looks a bit like the Mark X - they should bring that car to Australia.

Totally agree!

I would definitely buy the Mark X if they were sold here.. I considered importing but seems that they do not allow it to be privately imported.. x(

You can now import the current model GRX133 Mark X as of a couple of months ago, mate in Tassie is getting the first one in the country (and was the guinea-pig for compliancing)
