HI can anyone please help I have a 2002 v6 camry and have a problem with the check engine light staying on when I turn the ignition key on the abs light is flashing and the check engine light is on After starting the engine the abs continues to flash and engine light goes off when i drive away abs still flashes engine light comes on and there is no movement in the spedo after 10 minuits of driving engine light goes out and spedo comes alive and the autotransmisssion seams to work better I have used a scanner for error code reterival scanner reads no errors stored in car any help would be greatly appreciated Anthony

Unless you have an OBD-M scanner with the necessary data; you won't get any readings on your reader. Despite the plug cap saying OBDII on the front, the Gen5 Camry is OBD-M (according to the manual).

I couldn't say what is wrong though, I would personally reset the ECU and see if the problem happens again.

thanks Gordon for your quick reply the scanner i have is eobd and obd2 unit and has toyota listed in the scanner I need to obtain a OBD-M unit Will removing the positive lead from the battery for a few minuits reset the ECU or do i need to pull a fuse for the ECU thanks agakn Anthony
