Head Light Troubles

Hi, I want to replace my headlights to a different colour and brightness i have done the low beams but the high beams i am having the most trouble.

the problem is that they are HIR headlights while are ok they are too bright and don't work well in the rain (or at least for me)and when i come to a any street sigh i am blinded.

i try replacing them with HB3 which the book stated but don't seem to fit and don't work correct.

Is there any way to get these bulbs to fit or do i have to replace the hole assembly? if so where would the best place to get them from? i did see the mar performance ones but seem a bit pricey.
