Howdy All, first post...

I've had my 1993 Corolla sedan for nearly three years now and it's by far the most reliable car I've ever had. It's presently my "other, other" car as I drive a 2001 Commodore on LPG to work each day (180 klm round trip on freeways) and I have a 2009 Holden Ute for fun/carrying stuff. The Corolla is almost completely original with only the stereo having been replaced. For its age, and the 220,000 or so K's, it's in pretty decent condition. It goes like the wind even though it's an auto and my mechanic is very good to the old girl and keeps her purring away.

Anyway, I digress. The Corolla is still wearing its original steel wheels (175/65/R14) with the appropriately 'cheese cutter' sized tyres to go with them. I'm wondering if there's a 15 inch wheel/tyre combination that will give me a slightly lower profile and wider tyre size (while keeping the rolling diameter the same of course). I'm not worried about getting alloys - I'd be happy to keep steel wheels with covers. I'm thinking the 15 inch stock steel rims on a mid 2000's Yaris may be around the right size?

If anyone here who's put 15 inch tyres on their AE94 could tell me what the tyre profile is (off the side wall), that would be greatly appreciated. I'm about to get all the suspension replaced (springs/struts) and would like to confirm tyres greater than 175 won't hit the suspension setup.

Cheers.
