We were mucking about in the garage today and I now notice the glass in the wing mirror is flopping around. Must have knocked it. It would seem the adjusting cables have disconnected.

A quick look gave me no clues on how to get into it and my Lady is out in it now anyway. A web search tells how to replace the assembly but not how to reconnect those darn cables.

Anyone got any clues?

If anyone has this happen DON'T do as I did and push and pull, trying to see what happened. You only pull the plugs out of the sockets to the little motors. You have just made a simple job into a difficult, frustrating one.

All you need do is to put the glass and it's assembly back where it should be and gently press and the three plastic clips will re-engage. Two seconds versus two hours.

Time for a beer to relieve my frustration.
