Hi everyone,

I'm after a little help.

I've put together some LED lighting kits for late Corollas and other Toyota models and I was

wondering if anyone is interested in trying them out and letting me know how they perform/fit,

and if they can be improved on.

I will provide them free of charge and mail them to you. The kits are yours to keep.

In return I need them to be fitted to the model specified and helpful feedback provided.

I can't tell you the name of the company as I want to remain within the forum rules.

One of each of these Corolla kits will be made available for testing:

1 ZRE182R Exterior (license plate, parkers, reversing)

2 ZRE182R Interior (map, vanity, dome(1 or 2), boot)

3 ZRE172R Interior (map, vanity, dome, boot)

4 ZRE152R-hatch Interior (map, vanity, dome, boot)

If you're interested let me know, either here or message me and I can provide you with a

coupon for 100% off and free shipping. You can then order the selected kit from the e-store.

Thanks,

Are they smd or cree ?

Hi,

It varies, I would recommend Cree or Osram in applications like fog lights or reversing lights, generally too harsh for

interior use.

As for the kits I supply, it depends on the model of the car but generally the LED panels used for dome

lights are 5050 SMD, they give a good broad light for interior applications.

I think most boot lights are way to small and dim, so I use the smaller size but high output 5620 SMD where applicable.

In applications like reversing lights, high intensity Osram/5620 combination with a lens (on the left) are generally used. Although the Toyota 86 has an unusual mounting for its reversing lights (diagonal) so the one on the right gives a better result. Both these are relatively light weight, which is important as the T10/T15 connectors are "push in" and if you use heavy LED replacements vibration can dislodge it.

Hey Chris, would love to try the license plate LEDs, but if you only have the one exterior set to send out, I'd be happy to try the interior set. I have a 2013 ZRE182.

Cheers, Craig

Hi Craig,

Ok, I'm happy to send you a interior kit to try and I'll throw in the licence plate lights.

Message me if you want to go ahead.

Awesome Chris sounds good I'm keen. Will send you a msg now. Cheers, Craig

Got your order. BTW, there is a selection on the product page for "dome light with 2 reading lights" or "dome light (1 light)"

What type of dome light do you have?

Chris

Sorry Chris, wasn't sure what to do there. I've got the double reading lights in front and back.

Ok, thanks. I'll make the selection process clearer on the site,

Good to hear, I was aiming for better than stock!

Looking forward to the photos. When you post them maybe you could start a new topic? The are a couple of test kits out and it might be less confusing that way.

Hey Chris, apologies I haven't got back to you sooner on the interior LED kit, things have been hectic. Ive installed the number plate LEDs this morning and they fitted and work perfectly. Can't wait to see them tonight in the dark! I tried installing the cargo/boot LED but it actually does not fit. The OEM festoon is approx. 28mm long whereas the LED is approx 31mm long. The length probably isn't the problem that is preventing it from going in, rather the diameter of the end contacts are reasonably bigger than OEM which prevents it from fitting in. The square LED panel also clashes on the metal plate that runs alongside the festoon clamps. I tried installing the LED panel on an angle but it wouldn't go in. Have you got a similar LED except with a slimline LED panel which also has slightly smaller diameter tips and is slightly shorter? I've attached a few pics to help explain what I mean (sorry some might not be the best photos). I will try install the other interior LEDs next weekend, but looking at them I think they should fit no dramas. Looking fwd to getting them all installed :) will keep u posted and will put final pics up once I get them all in. Thanks again mate!

Thanks Craig,

exactly the information I needed. It's a SV7-8 festoon, didn't know that, and quite limited space around it for alternatives.

I'll talk to a few suppliers, but I may have to get this manufactured specifically.

Ok I've finally got around to finishing off installing the interior light kit. They all fit and work perfectly (with exception of the boot light as mentioned above), thanks so much Chris!

My only comments on the vanity/sun-visor lights are that it is super bright for a light that you are almost looking directly at when looking in the mirror. It is also a pretty tight fit to get the panel in there, but it does fit :) I will post up a few photos of the vanity/sun-visor LED panel.

The dome interior lights are awesome! It is amazing how much brighter they are compared to OEM. It's like daytime when the interior LEDs are switched on at night.

I also installed the exterior number plate LEDs, and similarly these are much nicer than OEM.

Overall, I have found the interior LED kit available from Chris through ReVision, a very easy kit to install, providing much clearer and brighter white light. I would highly recommend to anyone who is interested in installing LEDs. Thanks again Chris, I am very impressed with this kit!
