Gday I have a 2009 Toyota Hiluz 1kd-ftv I have been wanting to wire in a 15watt flood light to my reverse lights because I cant see much at all out the back at night when trying to reverse.

I was just thinking of wiring it in parallel with the lights that are already there. Or should I run a new circuit.

And does anyone have any recommendation's for Steel Tray builders on the eastern side of Melbourne?

Personally, I'd run a relay with constant power straight from the battery (with a fuse of course, and a switch in there, if you want..), but with a wire from the reverse lights to trigger the relay - so the floodlight comes on when the reverse lights come on, but it is drawing power straight from the battery, not the existing circuit (because both sets of lights will be brighter, and you won't be overloading any fuses/causing any other issues, etc etc). But that's just my personal opinion.

With the vast range of LED spot/Flood lights available you cant go wrong. Just check out Narva website. That way you can just wire it up in parallel with your existing, no chance of overload and no fiddly switches, relays etc, etc
