sorry man, i still find it hard to believe they are 279mm. can someone go and measure a set of stock ones?

stop being lazy, go measure your rear discs. It's not that hard.

275mm ventalated discs, two-piston calipers (f);

279mm discs, single-piston calipers ®; ABS.

:blink: Can anyone please confirm the diameter of the discs. This will affect all if you decide to change them. :o

alright man... get off your heavy rear end and do your homework! atleast learn how to read a tape measure!!

ZZE-122 and ZZE-123 SHARE THE SAME REAR ROTOR!!!!

i think your "FAST FACTS" are so fast that they are distorted....

Sportivo (ZZE-123) DOES NOT HAVE two-piston calipers!!! they are single piston, but just slightly bigger than the ZZE-122, and a bigger clip to fit the 10mm larger rotor!!

you need to get a grip...

go bloody measure up as shao and did, and you should learn something.

we'll let you walk away with your face and pride while you can, because actual experience speaks louder, and don't argue with me, as the mods that shao and i have done together speak for themselves.

besides, if you want to know what two-piston calipers look like, please feel free to have a look in the garage of MAP81, and they were done by Rollamods, so don't try and correct us on that one too.

get a grip and get your facts right, evidence from Motor mag and toyota website won't help dude... shao has already provided the RDA/DBA part numbers to you already, if you think they are wrong, please PM Northy, Myself or ANYONE that's done this mod, coz you just don't believe shao!

look dude,

i don't care if you like my tone or not, i think the fact that you are trying to prove a fact with 2 sources that are obviously incorrect to begin with!

whether they measure things up with toothpicks or lasers, i don't care, but your attitude to the whole issue is wrong from start.

respect people with first hand experience, as they are willing to help and give you advice at to HOW THEY HAD TO DO IT, rather than from people that claim to be "experts" when they can't even say the difference between a ZZE-123 or a ZZE-122.

besides... who would call themselves a "RDA/DBA specialist" isn't that just the brake shop from around the corner? RDA and DBA just happen to be the 2 main suppliers that are australian. just as every mechanic is a whiteline specialist! happen to find any endless/mintex specialists then?

They where recommend by RDA when I rang the Freecall 1800 88 0155 number; therefore junior, they are not just the brake shop from around the corner. Oh my, that right, they upgraded my EB GT brakes 5 years ago to Brembo's as well, not to mention my old Coupe! The sources that I have obtain are from numerous internet sites (about 10 independant sites), four dealers, Toyota Australia, Motor Magazine and also RDA/DBA; not 2 as you have quoted. I am being thorough for a reason, one thing to talk about Bling on this forum, another about safety. Changing parts like this without thorough investigation could mean the difference between life and death. Therefore definitive research and proof is required. Safety is Paramount!

ok man, first i'm not you junior, and my tone is directed at your attitude so swallow it!

2nd, WTF is bling, get it right!! you think we don't care about safety? so much so that we went to the effort of fitting slotted rotors, higher grade pads, braided line and better fluid? personally i don't call that bling! we don't brag about what we have and definitely have a cry about what we are about to get.

when we use the forum to ask for advice, we take it, and not try to shoot anyone down that try to help, as what you're doing is abuse, not me. if we're talking about taking sides here, for sure i'm backing up shao on this one, because we both found out together and we've both paid for the jobs to be done, by a reliable brake shop and no some claim to be specialists.

finally, please don't get us started on the cars we've owned, worked on or even their mods. because before you know it, you'll want to tell us about your friends too. frankly we don't care and most definitely don't brag about something that we USED to own and work on 5 YEARS ago....

its your call, so back off before more people enforce the facts.

ok guys im going to say this once and only once ....... calm it the ******* down or this thread is closed ..... Im really starting to get sick of reading these threads where all ppl are doing is taking shots at each other .... its simple ..... treat others as u'd like to be treated .... Geez learnt that one when i was 4 yrs old .....

There has been plenty of stuff said on this forum that i dont like but its simple .... i just ignore it and read on to the next thread ..... is it really that hard for others to do the same ?

omn1potent dude it sound like your doing a whole bunch of research and good on u for doing it and not simply putting ur hand out asking for a freebie. There are lots of members on here whom have altered their vehicles in the brakes dept including myself. To let u knw what ive done ive gotten the 4000 series rotors from DBA which r for the celica so the fronts are 275mm .... ive left the rears on the stock rotors but was advised to get the celica ones 269mm ..... As there are others whom have change the rears it is more than likely true to say that they have made all the enquiries ur making now and as such is the reason why they have given u their responses ..... I dont have a problem with double checking but some ppl dont like having their findings/facts questioned so for those ppl there is no point in starting a confrontation unless ofcourse beyond all doubt there is fact to prove them wrong .... but until then it is best to leave it be ....

Pippy i know u speak with a whole wealth of knowledge but sometimes it is best to let others find out for themselves .... I know the question was asked and the answers was given put simply put some people simply need to be convinced for themselves .... hey i find im sometimes like this even if a person has told me something i wont agree until i have found the facts and proven it for myself .... rather than getting worked up about it wouldnt it be better off to just leave it be and look the other way ? .....

ok just measured my stock ones

Front : 276mm

Rear : 270mm

I am guessing that your ruler/tape measure is out by 1mm :P

What are the part numbers to buy/replace new front and rear rotors in the forms of: -

Front - Slotted (Crossed) Only -> Manufacturers -> RBA, DBA, other?

Front - Slotted (Crossed) and Drilled -> Manufacturers -> RBA, DBA, other?

Rear - Slotted (Crossed) Only -> Manufacturers -> RBA, DBA, other?

Rear - Slotted (Crossed) and Drilled -> Manufacturers -> RBA, DBA, other?

Any part numbers available for front and rear braided brake line kits?

This information would be useful for Sportivo owners on this forum.

I've got DBA slotted front rotors on my Corolla Sportivo.

The part number is: DBA 759SL and DBA 759SR

For cross-drilled it's DBA 759X. But that's just for looks.

Just an update on Toyota's Warranty Specs...

All four discs are covered up to 50,000kms for premature wear...

All four brake pads are covered up to 30,000kms for premature wear...

Anything over that, and you will be paying retail prices for...
