Air conditioner just stopped working about 4 weeks ago. Have had a look on this forum but haven't been able to find any info, as I'm thinking this is not a very common issue.

I have 12V at the compressor clutch connector in the engine bay which switches on and off with the cabin a/c switch. Coil measures Mohm, so my view is the compressor clutch coil has gone open circuit. Has anyone else had a compressor clutch fail. To get it off I need the clutch puller tool. Does anyone have any details on this puller as I was thinking of getting a mate to machine something up for me. It looks like a threaded barrel with a bolt in the middle. Just after what size the threads are. Also I am lead to believe that the clutch is shimmed up to maintain a certain gap. Does anyone know what this gap is.

Thanks in advance.

Regards

Wayne
