examine around wipers and under the grill they come thru. look for build up of leaves/rust thru' those panels into car. Keep clean. Also look around window edges for failed seal.

Hi there,

I suggest you to find out if it is leaking from the bottom or from the top.

Get someone to spray water with the hose around the car where possibly you think it is leaking. You stay in the car and look where the water has been put.

unfortunately, in the last few years there's been a lot of shysters selling off flood damaged cars from Qld and NSW. 1996 eh? Floor pans do rust/wear out. Replacable, but not cheap. Unfortunately too few buyers pull back the floor mats/get under to check. We'll have to put up a sticky on how to apraise an hilux properly. Not enough people know what to look for. and come here only to get the bad news after they've bought it. Depressing, for all concerned.
