Dear Fellows,

I am having a lot of trouble finding the wiring diagram for the AE82
instrument cluster I have. It has 200 kmh and 9K rpm tacho. It has a
blue back "circuit board" and only 2 plugs. All the ones I find are
different from this one.

The car has a white and a brown plug

This is for a production based race car and I would like to use as
much of the standard dash as possible... all the wiring has been
cut/mangled by some smart ***** and now I have to wire back the
fundamentals.

Here is the dash I am talking about:

The car is running an Haltech Sprint 500 ECU. I can post pictures of it if there is interest.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Please can someone point me in the right direction?

What vehicle and year model is this dashboard from?

Many thanks.

That looks like the standard AE82 Twincam dash cluster, found on 4AGE-powered Australian-delivered AE82s from 1985/86 to 1989. Generally the Jap-spec ones (FXGT etc) have the needle fully horizontal at 0rpm/kmh, and a 180kmh speedo

Unless the issue is number of plugs and the pinout...

The issue is indeed the plugs pinouts.

I cannot find any wiring diagram for these 2 plug instrument clusters..

Can you help me with these? Im kind of stuck because of it...the class Im running demands stock dashboard.

Thanks for your great help.

Talked to a mate who's an expert on AE82s, Australian models are 2-plug with the blue PCB whereas the Jap ones (which the majority of the info on the net will be for) are 3-plug with a green PCB

No luck on the pinout though, sorry

FYI the Jap cluster looks like this, note the needles and the 180k speedo

Thanks for your help. Really!

I will look for specific information on AU specific wiring diagrams. I will report back if I find the pinouts

I'm guessing the 3rd plug on the Jap models is to cater for the extra functions on the Jap dash - rear light failure and catalytic converter temperature warning
