my hilux wont start need help

hi guys i baught my first car a 2004 3 litre hilux with a after market turbo, with 250,000ks on the clock, i havent got my ps yet i am only 17 so i dont drive the car often but it has been working fine up to the yesturday i reversed it out the driveway started instantly like normal, i come back to drive it an hour later and it wont start

it has over half a tank of deisel, the battery it fine, but when i try turn it over it doesnt start and smoke just comes out the exaust so i think its geting deisel to the motor and i have waited for the glow plug light to turn on and off a few times before i start it.

i have tried starting it now till the battery is almost flat can somebody please help

An engine needs 3 things to run: Fuel, compression and a correct ignition source.

When was the cam belt last changed/due? Is your check engine light on??

In a clean, dust proof area, remove the cam cover and verify by sight the camshaft turns when the crackshaft turns.

If not, your cam belt is broken, and you'll have to spend some cash, possibly <$500- if the head, bolts and pistons have survived.

If OK, verify by sight that the cam is timed correctly [you'll have to remove the fan and front cam belt cover]
