G'day.

I have been having problems with my 1990 Hilux SR5's cab intake fan. When I switch from recycled air to fresh air it becomes blocked. The fan still operates however no air naked it to the cab. The actual fan housing has been modified to allow a new pipe to bring in fresh air however that pipe comes in from the engine bay and has since been capped. Does anyone know why it would have been modified in the first place. And how easy is it to take the fan out of the car?

Cheers

Fan is behind glovebox in front of passerger, not hard to remove. Rerouting air was prob because of rust under grill behind wipers. this is caused by accumulation of leaves etc not being cleaned out. blocking it off was prob because of motor fumes.
