Hi....I'm trying to fit seat covers to 2014 Ascent Sports. Have fitted bucket seats OK and also the back two piece section....but I'm a little concerned about lifting the seat without damaging any wiring etc.

Is there a trick to it ? Any help will be appreciated as I don't wish to call in the professionals...Davo

It should be a case of pulling up at the front of the seat base with a little force and unbolting the seat back. There shouldn't be any wiring that will get caught. There may be a fuel pump harness, but it should not catch.

Thanks for that Trent.........I'll give it a go today......Davo

Update on the rear seat saga. Finished up taking back to the Corolla dealer. It took brute strength of two people to break the seat from the two front catches. The Back was held by a 4-5" U shaped clip.

Fitted the seat covers and job completed.......not a job for a 73 yr old but I'll know next time.....Davo

In regards to the back seat base, does the same principle apply to a 2012 Face lift ZRE152r sports, as I got a set to go on also, cheers all

It has pretty much been the same since the late 80's, possibly even earlier. I would say the 2012 should be very much the same.

Late 70s/early 80s at least :P - KE55 had the exact same thing

I thought it may have been the same. I haven't pulled the seats out of anything that far back though.
