Hi All,

I've just inherited my father's 1987 Camry Ultima, he bought it new and it was looked after very carefully for 26 years. It has sat in a shed un-loved for the past two years, started occasionally without any problems until ........

Last month's attempt, the battery was dead flat, my brother-in-law decided to "help" and put in a new battery. Problem is he put it in, but connected +ve and -ve terminals ***** about, and now there is no spark.

Okay where do I start?

I'll search / check a few threads, but if anyone can steer me in the right direction, I would be very appreciative.

Cheers, Williamson

All (I think) fuses checked, and okay. Have I (well, brother-in-law) burnt out an electronic unit / module or something?

Possibly. You may have to have an auto electrician take a look at it.
