I have a very basic AE101r Seca which has the manual windows and mirrors. I bought the car as it has ~96000kms on the clock from new (and looks like it), so it "might" be worth doing a few basic bits and pieces to it, if I can DIY most of it.

What I'd like to do is swap in electric mirrors and - possibly - power windows also (including switchgear, door cards etc.

Question is, has anyone bothered to do this in one of these? How much of the necessary wiring for electric mirrors/windows is in place in the stock loom? Or, as the wrecker has told me, is it a case of completely rewiring those parts as the factory loom doesn't include the vestigial wiring/plugs etc. to "plug and play" the parts?

Also, if I procured the parts out of a sedan, would they all be interchangeable? (I'm speaking aout rear door cards specifically, but are all the parts interchangeable? Or only some? (or maybe none?)

Hope someone can help.
