Hi all

Hilux (and car) novice here. I've got a dual cab 07 Hilux and keep a few things laying around in a toolbox on the floor in the backseat because I don't like leaving them in the tray, and can't store them under the backseat any more due to having a baby seat in the car. Just little things like a few spare tools, medical kit, ratchet straps etc.

I was wondering if it was possible/safe to use the spare space (intended for an air compressor or dual battery) under the bonnet to store this stuff. If so, any suggestions on the best/safest way to do this?

Cheers

Not recommending the medical kit, but all else ok, as long as heat/oil dirt won't damage them, and they can't foul on the motor/battery..

Cheers for the reply. That's good to hear. Presumably you can buy some sort of heat resistant storage for them? I'll check out the local auto shop and see how I get on.

Thanks again

It would likely have to be custom made.

Repurpose a battery box perhaps?
