Hi everyone

I have just bought a 2001 Toyota Prius and the steering wheel shakes violently with a cold start and fast steering (mostly when steering on right however on few occasions it vibrated when steering on left. Once the PS light came on for few second and went off soon.

When the engine warms up, all good. Similarly, if it is a hot day, its unlike that the steering column will shudder.

There is another problem which appears to be interlinked. The Prius (energy/consumption) display unit blinks with the cold start as well. When the engine warms up it disappears. So does the possibility of steering shuddering.

Any idea/help is much appreciated.
