Hi, does anyone know the location of the flasher module on a 2001 hilux? Just bought this hilux but has hyper flash as the last owner has installed led lights. I'm new to hilux's but would like to learn more as I want to keep this 1, any help is much appreciated

1997-2004 hilux maintenance CD often on ebay for <$10- Cover motors, body and electrics in detail. Complex but complete IMO. Very worthwhile readable via Linux/win -prob mac Several hundreds of pages, best in big screen, but notebook ok.

Thanks but I was looking for advice from you guys rather than a dvd as I reckon the previous owner had rewired some suff himself.

I'm not familiar with that model specifically; however, it will probably be under the dash(maybe behind the glovebox).

With the engine off and the ignition on, turn on the indicators or hazards and have a close listen. You should only hear one relay clicking, this will be the flasher relay.

Never gone looking for mine but.

I don't think it is in the underbonnet fuse box.

It may be in the drivers side interiour fuse box or nearby.

OR it may be on the drivers side behind one of the gloveboxes.

cheers

under the RHS of the steering wheel is a panel with fuses one side(?) and relays on the other. It has s single screw mount one end. at the far end from the screw, come in 1 row of 2 relays, then 1/2 a row that's it. It has a 3 pin connection, arranged in a T shape. It plugs in and out without tools. I can't work out how to give you a picture-the image won't cut and paste because it's a part of a >200 page pdf and I can't attach the file.

Thanks guys, found it. It was as described above, on driver side next to the steering column. Just trying to source a 3 pin relay to stop led hyper flash now, there's heaps online but with the + and - the opposite way around to my one?

Not sure about those brands.

Tridon are a reputable brand that make them. May be able to grab one from Supercheap/Autobarn/Repco.
