Kluger GSU40R 2WD 2011 - 40k km service - Which fluid?

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

My 2011 2WD Kluger GSU40R will be reaching 40,000kms soon, and keen to give it a good service. Could I please get some advice on the following:

Which fluid is recommended for the following:

  1. Automatic Transmission
  2. Brake
  3. Radiator
  4. Transfer case or Diff? (As it is a 2WD, I am assuming that there is no rear diff? Is there any fluid change in this space?)
  5. Power steering - Can't seem to find anything on this. Any thoughts?

If the Toyota fluid is the best option for the above, then that's what I will go for. I tend to use Castrol for my engine oil service.

Is there any other preventative maintenance anyone else would recommend for the 2WD Kluger?

Thanks in advance.

auto transmission... not necessary yet.    look at the service schedule
brakes....  flush every 20k/k. dot 3 or 4 fluid.  remove and clean wheel speed sensors.  fronts are only one bolt, easy to do.

transfer case or diff.... not necessary... it is 2wd fwd.

power steering... its electric no fluid involved.
car comes with a owners service record... that shows what needs to be done at each service interval.
Did the car come with the two books?
I strongly recommend that if you are not experienced with basic car maintenance then get a local mechanic to do it.  It will save you a lot  of money.
