Hi

I have a 2000 ln167 ifs hilux 4x4 and i keep having issues with my front end.

Firstly i keep bending idler arms and im now on my 3rd one is there a stronger replacement arm out there or am i stuck with the oem style replacement, or is there a idler arm off a different make or model that with sovel my problem, what have people done to fix this, not gonna keep shelling out for fragile arms

Secondly i recently had a issue where i knocked my lower control arm alignment pins out of whack is the some i can buy to stop this from happening in the future or a solution?

Admittedly the car has been used on rough terrain when both of these problems have occured but still

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Cheers

By the sounds of it, you could be a little too hard on the vehicle. A little more driver sympathy may be required. I have not heard of this issue before.

What has been changed on the vehicle from factory?

Yeah your right easing up on it will help but wasnt hard on it at the time,

Work has been done, 33"×9" muds, 2" body lift, bull bar etc

Yeah the big tyres dont help either

Just need a solution

You could have them strengthened/plated/custom made, but any time you upgrade something, another weak link will appear.
