Does anyone know about Penrite LV Automatic Transmission Fluid - LV, will it be suitable for Aurion 2013 transmission?

http://www.supercheapauto.com.au/Product/Penrite-LV-Automatic-Transmission-Fluid-LV-4-Litre/396357

http://www.penriteoil.com.au/products.php?id_products=709

I just had a chat with Penrite, they suggested that ATF LV transmission fluid is good to be used for Aurion.

"AGENT 4:

Looking at the original requirement for your vehicles automatic transmission, it requires a product which meets a specification known as Toyota WS.

Our ATF LV fully meets the requirement for the Toyota WS specification, there will be no issues using the ATF LV product."

You can just about exclude those from the U.S.

The shipping alone would make it an unviable purchase.

For me, air filters can be whatever decent brand you can find but oil related filters I always try to use genuine service parts and not take a risk with the cheap and nasty copies.

I recently purchased two Genuine Toyota oil filter kits on ebay (free shipping too) that was cheaper than the Ryco ones at your local supercheap.

I haggled the seller a little and he gave me a pretty good deal. I'll definitely go back when I need more.

For the sake of the extra few dollars, do your engine a favour and have piece of mind.

With regards to the transmission fluid.

Check the data specs in your handbook and just get whatever fluid falls into the specified range.

I don't think anyone particular brand is really important. Just another bad  topic with too many fighting words.

I try and steer clear of oil threads and or questions.

Let us know how you get on.

All the best 👍

Does Aurion 2013 GSV50R (2GR-FE) have fuel filter???

I did look at original filters and aftermarket ones and could not find difference between them. It is just all hard paper with a bit of rubber or hot glue holding it together. And Ryco filters I think also made in China.

GSV50 fuel filter: They do and it is located in the fuel tank

I would be a bit careful when buying so called genuine Toyota parts off EBay due to counterfeiting, might pay to check they are from an approved bricks & mortar dealer.

There are dealers that have eBay accounts as well.

I always do my research before taking the plunge.

The seller I purchase from doesn't only sell filters. He also sells Genuine replacement parts too.

Has an excellent track record.

If anyone is interested I can send the link.

Do you mean the fuel filter? As I am aware the fuel filter on Camry is just under the passenger seat. Is it the same for Aurion?

Yeah send us the link, why not.

It's in the tank which is under the rear seat.

Ok, that's what I thought, just was not 100% sure.

Is it the same fuel filter as for Aurion GSV40R?

Interesting, when I am trying to check for fuel filter, through Ryco or any other catalogues, I could't see the fuel filter for Aurion  GSV50R.

That's why I was a bit confused about the fuel filter for Aurion GSV50R....

Yep I realise this, but wanted to point out the counterfeit genuine boxed parts that are available, a point that seems to have been missed http://aada.asn.au/toyota-takes-on-independents-for-selling-fake-parts/. If the seller is not a dealer it's a fair chance the items are counterfeit.

Just got aftermarket filters, very happy with them, the cost for engine air filter was $15, $5 oil filter and the cabin $4, very good quality for the money you spend. And also got 10L Castrol Edge 5W-30 Fully Synthetic Engine Oil for $49.99 :)))))

Just letting you know that the engine filter you have is wrong.

It should be looking something like this.

ryco-air-filter-a1558-1.jpg

The code is A1558. You probably have the 2.4L camry air filter.

How much was the delivery on all that ?

It all depends, for some delivery is free, for others around 5-10 dollars, just follow the links I posted above and look at the description and postage information.

Seriously, how do you tell if it is a very good build quality?

Part of the disclaimers on the filter box reads " you are also entitled to have your goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure"

This would not inspire me to buy it, but hope it works out OK for you.

Well, it is just a filter made of plastic and paper, the overall feel of materials, very solid. I don't feel that anything can brake. plastic feels to be very strong And inside of the plastic case, is just a paper filter. I can't really find fault in it. I'am usually very picky with things.

Because I have fitted this exact product to my Aurion earlier this year and have had no issues/problems except getting the fluid at the correct level. It looked the same as the original filter being replaced. Also bought another 3 filter kits ready to replace every 2-3 years or 45-50,000 km intervals.
