I am currently having trouble with my GPS disc not staying in.  I push the disc in but it comes straight back out.  Due to this I am unable to use my GPS, and it has now progressed to my reverse camera, and radio etc.   I have taken it to a Toyota dealer who advised me I would need a new system.  Just thought I would post in here to see if anyone else has encountered this and if they could get the disc to stay in without buying a new system.  Thanks in advance :)

Hi Natalie .

I'm not familiar with the 40 series GPS requiring the insertion of a disc to enable its function. Maybe someone who has such a vehicle can chime in.

But for my 2 cents worth, sounds like the unit has malfunctioned and I hasten to say that it wouldn't be cheap to replace.

Me personally. If you want to keep the car tip top, I'd get someone to confirm that it is actually faulty, Then ring around some wreckers and get a good 2nd hand one. New prices would be horrendous I imagine. Ring Toyota and first and make sure you are seated...

If your not too concerned about it not working, just use your smart phone's GPS.

I always use Google Maps App and I reckon it is excellent.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.

Cheers 👍
