Hi all

I m driving a lc200 latest model. This is my first diesel vehicle. When ever the vents are open for fresh outer air without Aircondition ON,it really smells odd (not fresh at all) but smell decreases by the time on a drive. doesn't go away. This is not a problem with air conditioning ON.I just want to make sure that nothing is wrong. As of first diesel vehicle ,I don't know if it is common in Diesel engines. It remained same even after its first service.

Thanx for ur help

Hi

thanx for quick response.

its definitely not like wet or burning so the only option is left is diesel but then again it's not like the smell ,comes out of a diesel vehicle exhaust . I don't know if I would have make the situation really clear or not.i do have an idea of a wet (pretty much like humid if I quote it)like smell which usually comes out of my petrol vehicle open  vents if I don't run Air condition.

Hi, if its a "stale" smell it could be the pollen filter. Happened with our Sahara and after a couple of dealer tries I just replaced the filter with a new one, smell gone.
