Pistons for 69 Corona
My dad is rebuilding the engine of a 1969 Corona and is struggling to source pistons for it. Does anyone know of a supplier? It is a late model 2R with 1490 cc. engine capacity. The engine Bore is 78mm (3.07") diameter. The piston size required is to be 0.040 thou bigger in diameter. Any ideas? Thanks in advance! -

2019 RAV4 oil filter wrench
Thanks @campbeam and @Tony Prodigy for the info. @bob007 As per T&C from TOYOTA, my car is still with warranty as long as it's serviced properly. https://www.toyota.com.au/-/media/toyota/main-site/page-data/warranty/files/toyota-warranty-advantage-terms-conditions.pdf In order to keep my warranty, I probably will have to keep all my receipts for parts and oils. The reason why I want to service my RAV4 - I know the dealership use VPS 10W-30 for oil change. Nothing wrong about the oil but I want to use better names, due to 12 months service interval of the latest models. I am looking to switch to 0W-16 or 20 from Penrite or Mobile1. I have been servicing my 2012 COROLLA for over 4 years and have no issue performing most of the work as per log book. -

AE82 2zz-ge and 6spd swap
I am researching the viability of swapping a 2zz-ge into an ae82, I have seen a few ae82's and 92's with the swap done but no detailed information on mounting, driveshafts and the shifter. Hoping someone has done the swap or seen one done and can give me an idea of what's involved. -

2022 Toyota Camry Hybrid Should I buy it.
Back in 2019...I did a lot of research on Petrol vs Hybrid that's why I bought a Petrol Camry. The Hybrid battery that sits across the back seat costs many thousands to replace...Toyota gives you a 5 year warranty...10 years it you service the car with Toyota. After that you pay...your car wont be worth much in 10 years. If the Hybrid battery dies...you can't jump start it. The Electric motor that runs the system also costs heaps to replace...replacing the brakes cost thousands to replace...Hybrids cost thousands more to buy. Toyota says you only use 4.6 lts per 100 kms but you must use 95 octane or higher and there's the cost of the Hybrid battery replacement...so where's the saving. -

In all honesty mate, whatever is on sale really. Look into Mothers CMX, Bowden's Wet Dreams, Meguiars Ceramic Wax, Turtle Wax Hybrid Spray etc. I've used a mix of CMX, Wet Dreams and even Carpro HydrO2 sealant when I do the whole car and the work great. I tend to top it up every month or 2 just to be sure that it's slick and protected. I know that CarPro has their DLUX kit which is a ceramic coating for lights which will last much longer but does require a bit more effort to apply and what not and is also a lot pricer given that it should last a lot longer.- 1

Just a thought...is your car still under warranty because doing anything yourself could void that warranty...is it worth it ? -
