Hey all I have a 2011 Aurion Touring . it makes this click sound sometimes when I break, drive off, turn the steering wheel, drive over little bumps. I have changed my strut tower plates.

the car only has 97 thousand kms on it

any info would be great

What do you mean by strut tower plates?

Cv joints are a prime suspect, as Campbeam said. However if the car has been lowered, shocks replaced... there are a bunch of things that could be too loosely done up. Sway bar links, strut mounts (top).

Im assuming the sound is from the front?

I wish it was the  CV joints but I have had them checked by a Mechanic.  the shocks are all factory none of that has been changed, as for the strut plates I was told by a mate that works for toyota that this was the problem. he replaced them for me I have had a few people say it could be the steering support.

Is your car lowered ?

I'm suspecting it is. It may well be the CVs. They cop a hammering when a car is lowered.

How did the mechanic check them ?

They usually dont present any physical defects upon quick inspection.

Unless he opened the boots and saw metal shavings.. who knows.

A clear audio file would serve this thread better.
