2013 Kluger Bluetooth Connection Issues

Butters

Recommended Posts

Hi

My wife and I recently updated our phones. Her's to a iPhone 8 and mine to a Samsung Galaxy S8. Our previous phones connected to the factory head unit via Bluetooth but both new phones don't. I have spoken to the local dealer and they have informed me that the head unit manufacturer has heard of this issue and are currently exploring the problem. The most likely issue is a new version of Bluetooth (4.0) and the older head unit does not support this.

So two questions. Firstly is anyone else having this issue or am I the only one? (and if so did you manage a workaround to it).

Secondly, if we need to upgrade the head unit, what aftermarket ones would you recommend with the simplest plug and play. We don't need navigation as the phones are suitable but would like to still have Bluetooth and the steering wheel controls.

Thanks

Matt
