How to check the pressure of the spare wheel

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a 2014 Prado and I need to check the pressure of my spare wheel but I cannot even work out how to open the spare wheel enclosure.

I have searched  the manual and looked online but found nothing related to the 2014 model.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

Regards

Daniel

Pretty sure you open the rear door and then you will see a little flap you open up, then use a 12mm socket or appropriate spanner in the tool kit, remove the bolt, then use the key to release security type lock nut , best of luck,

I'm pretty sure that does not relate to the 2014 Prado, I undid the bolt but there is nowhere to put a key...

cheers

Good idea that you want to check the tyre pressure of the spare wheel.

Unpleasantly surprised that the tyre pressure of the spare for my vehicle [not a Prado] was only 18 psi

Fairly sure that I would have put 36 psi in that tyre within last 6 months. Lesson learnt is to check tyre pressure before loading the boot for my next interstate trip.

Drop into a Toyota dealer , take them 2 minutes to show you what to do, even a tyre dealer, they would do that stuff all the time ,
