TRD Possible battery issue?

Hi guys. I'm new to the Aurion world and am in need of some guidence. Ive purchased a Black trd aurion for my daily work horse. Shes a tad long in the tooth but all factory gear. 238xxx on the clock.

I did do a search before posting on my issue, but couldnt really find much containing my issue.

I put a brand new battery in her roughly 6 months ago if that, and all is well. But once i get some Heavy rain i cant start it. All electronics work, windows, radio, clock, seats, ect ect. No failure there.  But battery loses juice almost over night. ONLY happens when it rains. So i am stumped on why.  It just cranks once and then does the whole dead battery clicks. What gets me is i dont lose radio stations or clock times. Aircons and lights work with no drainage.

I've checked all grounds, terminals, even took the battery out, clean the terminals and brackets ect up. Made sure no cuts or nicks. I am stumped.

 

Any direction would be fantastic.

It appears to me that you are describing an intermittent parasitic power drain on the battery. There are potentially multiple causes for this issue.

Just totally guessing but when there are periods of heavy rain, you are driving with headlights on [more power drain] and as a daily driver not using the headlights very often.

I looked at some YouTube videos and one test showed that 1 cell in the battery was failing.

As a starting point, suggest that you get your battery, alternator and starter motor checked.
