I have a 2013 sr5 diesel hilux which has 148000kms and is due for a timing belt soon? Should the waterpump be replaced now also?

Have a look at the following YouTube videos which give an indication of what is involved in replacing the timing belt.

You can consider just how relevant they are to your vehicle.

If you are not DIY, then definitely replace the water pump.

Good chance to while you are in there get the prado 2 peice one if you ever have to change it later you only change the impeller

rather than having to remove the belt, idler, tensioner to get at it
