I'll beleive Toyota Australia will bring in Turbo Corolla's after I've seen it on the showroom floor and I've paid my deposit.

I'll be (pleasantly) surprised if this gets here.

Thanks heaps Bill i swear you should be a private investigator!! Surely guys they will have a hatch version as-well because that is exactly what made the corolla such a popular car in the first place!!

I dont think the turbo version shown will pass the good old Emission Laws. You remember the ones that banned our cars in the first place :angry::angry:

I'll buy one based on 2 pointers:-

1) That toyota actually brings the car out and they get over their fetish of working camry's

2) The thing is not made in South Africa ..... Those boys are struggling to put together a NA car could u imagine the damage that could be caused if they dont put an F/I car together properly <_< <_< <_< <_<

This thread gives the best pictures to date, with black and white prototypes with minimal diguise plus also a white prototype sedan, they all show the new Toyota Corporate face as seen on the Yaris and almost here Camry. They appear to be in Europe, so again most likely similar to what we will get.

You'll notice the Silver/Purple colour one similar to the green one I posted earlier.

Two magazines have stated that Toyota was set on the styling of the next Corolla, but when the European/Japan only Civic hatch broke cover with it's radical styling, Toyota was shocked and had a big re-think on what the next Corolla should look like and did a re-style of the design, very late into the near production ready phase of it's development.

My Theory is...

The black white car's you see in these pics are the original design - look closely and you'll see it's an evolution of the current design, nothing too radical. The green and silver/purple computer designs with their almost RX-8 like wheel arches are the new more radical design.

I've never done this before, but I thought I'd try and beat the Mods to it ...

A lot of this info was covered in a previous topic ...

"Search, and ye shall find" or something like that! :D

Having said that, though, I'm really looking forward to the new car, especially the wagon if there is one.

does not look "echo'ish" to me, thought the perspective does play tricks. I think it is a sweet looking concept to base a realistic design on. B)

I just really hope they bring back a turbo, maybe then ill have the money to afford a 'tivo. Least them getting back in to Rally is a good sign someone in the board meeting has preformance cars in mind.

Sick, I love it!!

It'll be smack on time for my changeover in 2.5 years time.
