Hello,

I have an 06 Aurion GSV40R. I've been having issues with the Check VSC system error popping up, it'll pop up and then go away for a few days then come back. I've hooked a cheap scanner to the car and it just reports that the system is too lean on bank 1. Anyhow, I've been using premium 95 fuel for the last week and the error code hasn't come back. What could be going on here?

One possibility is that the fuel injectors were a bit dirty and got cleaned by the additives in the 95 octane fuel.

If the code reappears, you can do a bit more diagnosis with your scanner tool. Have a look at the following YouTube video.

If you do a Google search on the P0171 error code, you will find most articles suggest a vacum air leak.or to clean the mass airflow sensor
